Battle Reports and Statistics

The Lands of Ruin Command Console app tracks nearly everything on the battlefield. All the statistics and events are available to the players in the form of battle reports and character statistics. This way you can thoroughly review and analyze your effectiveness and tactics after the battle.

You will have access to statistics per battle, and per character, as well as lifetime numbers for your characters. For example, you will be able to check your hit percentage on different ranges, as well as see what kind of damage your hits have caused in different situations.

The more battles you play, the more effective tactics you'll develop. With the app tracking your strategies from battle to battle you can see the changes in your approach, and you can see what worked and what didn't.

Naturally, if information like this is not interesting to you, it can always be ignored. It will always be available again if you become interested in the future. You won't be forced to go through all this information to play the game, but it’s always there if you need it.

Tell the story

The reports and character statistics not only help players improve their tactics, but also allow them to share their battles and progress over time.

We want players to be able to share the battle details to their friends without tedious writing work. The battle report will be generated from the events of the battle. The reader will be able to see what happened chronologically during the battle. Performed actions and character movement will be presented visually in the battle timeline. Character movement will be shown on the map and the reader can get a good overview of the troop movement based on this information.

The battle reports are readable directly in the Command Console tablet app as well as on the web with a URL that can be shared over social media and forums.

Enhancing your story

An image tells more than thousand words. That's why we will be enabling players to snap pictures during the battle and easily include them in their battle reports. Taking pictures with your tablet while playing or with another device (like your smartphone) in an observer mode will automatically add the images taken into right place in the battle timeline. Simply snap a picture when performing a shooting action, and the picture will be added as an image describing that action.

More to come!

As mentioned, this feature is still under heavy development. It will be rolled out to the Command Console app in the coming months.

We'd love to hear your thoughts and feature requests about the battle reports and stats. What other battle report features would you like to see? Let us know!
